Seasonal Laborer – Water Utility Services
We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Seasonal Laborer to assist with the maintenance, repair, and installation of essential water utility services. Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of water utility equipment and infrastructure.
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, and carrying materials and tools.
- Support crew members in daily operational activities ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Clearing brush and grass around customer meters and distribution valves and hydrants
- Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks and storage areas.
- Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or operational issues to supervisors promptly.
Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to following all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team or solo.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors and experienced crew members.
- Punctuality and reliability in attendance and work schedules.
- Basic knowledge or experience with hand tools and power tools is a plus but not required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work.
- Valid Washington State driver’s license required
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol test
- Must be able to obtain Washington State Flagger’s Certification within 60 days of hire. Naselle Water Company will pay for certification.
Compensation: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour, based on experience.
Duration: Spring – Fall. High school/College students encouraged to apply. Employment dates are flexible.
